Ciaopeople

In order to ensure the optimization of the software application, the database, the infrastructure, and, ultimately, the performance, Infocube participated in the publication of the Ciaopeople.com Community, a project in the LAMP environment based on the Zend Framework. Infocube led and assisted the team in tuning activities. The support provided by Infocube was also aimed at providing the Ciaopeople team with the tools to optimize the company’s project management. Infocube’s installation and integration of two specific Open Source technologies, Trac and SVN, represented a significant added value to the development of a project in a collaborative and dynamic environment like Ciaopeople.

Ciaopeople is an Italian social network that is the heir to the local Qbr portal. It is a Community that aspires to spread on an international scale. After only a few months of going online, it already had hundreds of thousands of registered users. It offers information and entertainment services through a magazine, a blog and a portal entirely dedicated to music, all in perfect alignment with web 2.0 paradigms. In fact, the platform offers subscribers access to a magazine that keeps them informed of world news as well as interactive tools that allow them to stay in touch (chat and forum) or take center stage by posting photos, videos, and original articles in Spacelog.
